Took Friday afternoon off work and went exploring with my mate Cathy Dempster (Photographer) and we had a nice hour or so of taking photos of an old abandoned house.  It's so sad to see the briars coming through the windows, but it makes a lovely picture I think!!!!

I love this photo, it was perfectly still in the room but there was just the slightest breeze started to blow through the window so I had to capture the moment.  Maybe it was the spirit of the lady who lived there?
Had a lovely time just chilling out and not crafting!!!!!

Some cards from Class

I really don't know why I can't keep a blog up to date.... surely it's not that difficult!!  I need more hours in the day and days in the week at the moment to get myself back on track I think!
Well life goes on in the shop and new goodies are arriving slowly but surely.

These are the cards we made on Saturday in class.  I think everyone enjoyed making them.  New papers have arrived in now so I will have fun playing with them too.

This card is made using the papers from the Crafters companion Angelica & friends CD rom.  I don't normally use cd's but this one is so cute.  The stamp is from Woodware and is great cos all you need to do is change your paper colour!!
Poor wee sick Pig is a Woodware stamp and is coloured in using Spectrum Noir and Promarker Pens.  The embossed detail is from a Darice embossing folder on coredinations cardstock and then sanded

This cute wee Ballerina is a Crafters Companion Stamp
This is a new stampendous stamp which is very detailed and was stamped using Versafine Ink in Onyx.  stickles added to the tree for effect as there really wasn't a lot that needed to be done to the image.  I used patterned paper and stamped on the co-ordinating rear side.

Right, back to the drawing board to sort out this Saturday's class.

Distressed Canvas elements

I used loads of different stains, inks and stamps to create these panels. I also decided to
bring out my bigz dies again as they haven't been used in a while. I have had such fun doing this canvas (which was a cheapy). Only one thing annoyed me though, the fact that when staining the pure white canvas to an old paper colour I scrubbed the top off my stain dabber :( oh well, I still enjoyed myself!

Distressed Canvas

I took inspiration from Tim Holtz and the Creative Chemistry 101 class I have been doing which gave me a good excuse to mess and experiment!!!!!

New family members!!

We have 6 new members to our family! The cute little chicks hatched out yesterday. They are so cute but we aren't allowed too close as mama hen is a bit crabby!!! She pecks at us and believe me it hurts! Don't want to mess with her!
What a lovely sight to see all the narcissi and daffodils swaying about in the flowerbeds this afternoon. The birds were all singing and it seems as though spring is here.

Layouts for scrapbooking class in Doodle Craft

These 2 layouts were for last weeks scrapbooking class. I used a mix of papers, there's Echo Park, Basic Grey, Bazzill Basics and Co'redinations. Card candy adds finishing touches, and the journalling is written around the edges in white Opaque pen from Ranger.
I have so many photos at the moment that I really will have to start to scrapbook them a bit more regularly. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment to do all that I want to do.

Meeting Tim!!

Just home from Birmingham, extremely tired with sore feet! Had a great time chatting to suppliers and meeting new people! I really enjoyed watching the very talented demonstrators doing their thing and making it all look so easy. Rhonda and myself got the chance to talk to Tim and get our photos taken with him, after watching him demonstrate the brand new Distress Markers. We even got one of his creations signed by himself!
